Ribbon cutting event for the opening of a free clinics called MyClinic

Phase 1:
A free clinic is born

  • “Jupiter Volunteer Clinic (JVC)” was the result of collaboration among Palm Beach County Health Department, Jupiter Medical Center, El Sol-Jupiter’s Neighborhood Resource Center, Town of Jupiter, with guidance from Florida Public Health Institute.

The JVC operated on Saturday mornings within the Health Department’s Jupiter Auxiliary Health Center. With a total of 20 active volunteers, JVC provided primary medical care to 380 patients for a total of 877 visits in almost 2 years.

Phase 2:
A temporary solution

  • In January 2014, MyClinic formally began operations as an independent, not for profit FREE CLINIC located in a temporary modular building. Thanks to start-up funds provided by Allegany Franciscan Ministries, Palm Health Foundation and Quantum Foundation and ongoing support from Jupiter Medical Center (including free lab and imaging services and administrative support), MyClinic became a true MEDICAL HOME to 1740 registered patients in need.

With the addition of several volunteer specialists and referral services, MyClinic quickly outgrew this space. By the end of 2016, 56 active volunteers helped to provide 3378 annual visits.

Phase 3:
A permanent home

  • In December 2016, MyClinic purchased a 5000 sf medical office building to accommodate future growth and create a unique access point with the first of its kind co-location of a Free Clinic and a Federally Qualified Health Center (CL Brumback Primary Care Clinic operated by the Health Care District of Palm Beach County).

Within two full years of co-located operation, by the end of 2018, MyClinic grew to serve 2500+ people in need of medical, behavioral health, care coordination and health education.

In 2021, MyClinic expands, offering a comprehensive behavioral health program, specialty and urgent dental referrals and health information and education. MyClinic becomes known as a navigation and care coordination hub providing a holistic approach to working with individuals and families in need to improve their health and quality of life. Dedicated Care Coordinators take the time to get to know every person and family to create a personalized plan that addresses social determinants of health as well as medical and other health related needs.

In February 2024, MyClinic celebrated paying off its mortgage and operating debt-free thanks to generous support from individuals, foundations and sponsors. It also announced the major donation and dedication of the new DiMino Family Center, which is used to accommodate informational group classes and resources.

Phase 4:
MyClinic becomes HealthyMe

  • MyClinic changed its name to HealthyMe to better reflect the evolution of its mission to help clients navigate to a healthier quality of life. HealthyMe continues to expand Social Determinants of Health support to help bridge the gap between healthcare and the essential social care that impacts health, including housing, food, transportation, and legal assistance. Healthy Living and Visiting Organization Programs grow HealthyMe’s services thanks in part to the new DiMino Family Center.
