Jupiter, Florida (February 20, 2024) Jupiter-based MyClinic, an independent nonprofit health and wellness organization, welcomed long-time supporters and community partners to its February 8 Milestone Celebration. The evening events included an update on the non-profit’s evolution; acceptance of a major donation and dedication of the new DiMino Family Center; and a ceremonial burning of its mortgage.

Thanks to generous support from individuals, foundations and sponsors, within seven years, MyClinic has paid off its mortgage which was held by Valley Bank enabling MyClinic to operate debt-free. The campus has expanded to include the newly dedicated DiMino Family Center which will be used to accommodate informational group classes and resources, focusing on the needs most often found in financially challenged families

“We are beyond grateful to the Frank DiMino Family Foundation for their major mortgage elimination gift, community partners and individual volunteers and donors for helping MyClinic achieve these milestones, enhancing MyClinic’s long-term sustainability” says MyClinic Executive Director Amy Pepper. This gift was presented by Wendy Balch, Treasurer/Secretary and Tressa Harris-Jones on behalf of the DiMino Family Foundation including their Executive Director, Darren Bardell.

MyClinic Chairman, Doug Brown said, “For our more than 4,100 and growing registered clients, we remain focused on providing information and linkage to empower them to improve theirs and their family’s health and quality of life. In addition, our evolution includes increased support for Jupiter Medical Center’s newly discharged patients who have limited resources so they may carry out the hospital’s recommendations for a successful recovery. MyClinic’s building is also home to the CL Brumback Primary Care Clinic (Health Care District of PBC). This unique co-location provides opportunities for collaboration, making the facility an inclusive and welcoming comprehensive Medical Home.”

Since its inception in 2012, the once traditional “Free Clinic” has continued its expansion of offerings to become a hub for anyone with health or quality of life needs restricted by financial concerns. MyClinic’s dedicated team, in conjunction with collaborative partners, provides numerous programs including: Care Coordination and Navigation; Hospital Discharge Assistance; Behavioral Health; Women’s Health (in collaboration with The Promise Fund of Florida); Medical and Dental Referrals; and Healthy Eating for Life. All clients are assessed for Social Determinants of Health needs such as food/nutrition support, legal assistance, housing, rent and utilities, health-related transportation; and other family assistance and are provided with direct referrals/connections to resources to address these needs. Dedicated space within MyClinic enables visiting organizations offering complementary services to meet directly with clients, improving access to crucial resources.
